We’re excited to announce that we have secured new business premises – but don’t worry, we aren’t moving far!
Our new facility, which is just around the corner from our current Queenslie Industrial Estate site, marks a step change in the future development of our business.
Gary Shepherd, Managing Director at James Ramsay, said: “The business has expanded rapidly in the past five years, so having outgrown our existing site, we’ve taken the opportunity to make a number of key strategic improvements across the entire business. This will ensure we are geared up for future growth as well as making significant improvements to existing operations.”
At just under 13,000 sq ft. the new premises is being fitted out to James Ramsay’s bespoke design including upgrading the manufacturing and fabrication areas with the inclusion of an on-site crane and job pack preparation area; a purpose-built workshop fit out including individual welding bays with fixed gases and extraction facilities; as well as dedicated training areas to accommodate our growing apprenticeship programme. The double height office area increases our capacity from 25 to 40 desks, and we will have greatly enhanced staff welfare facilities, including showers.
Gary continued: “A great deal of thought and planning has been included in the design process and we can now ensure a real focus on improving our entire facility management. The layout lends itself well to much more effective management of space, storage and waste, and this is very much geared towards a lean approach to engineering.”
The move represents a significant investment in new facilities for the business, and the relocation is expected to be complete in May 2025.
