OFTEC (Oil Firing Technical Association) is the trade association for liquid fuel heating equipment manufacturers and training providers. It is recognised by governments, manufacturers, distributors and consumers for its commitment to excellence.
Following the initial and ongoing training, OFTEC delivers re-assessment every five years, with a focus on the continuous assessment of skills through on-site inspections, free technical support and regular updates on industry standards and changes to building regulations. The team at James Ramsay has completed a whole host of training initiatives in the past 12 months including Scottish Mental Health First Aid, Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS), Boiler Operations Accreditation Scheme (BOAS) as well as gas and welding ticket renewals.
We also have on-going people and HR mentoring with experienced engineers taking less experienced personnel under their wings, and this scheme is replicated in our estimating department. The office administration team has also been benefitting from management, communication, and self-awareness skills training.
