James Ramsay achieves Cyber Essentials Plus certification
We’re pleased to announce that we have achieved Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation, marking a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to protect our systems, data and people.
Cyber Essentials Plus is an advanced certification that goes beyond the standard Cyber Essentials framework, requiring a rigorous, hands-on technical verification of security measures. The process included independent testing of our systems and infrastructure, with team members across the business supporting the audit by providing information and access to devices.
Campbell Gilmour, Finance Director at James Ramsay, who led the project for us, said: “Achieving Cyber Essentials Plus is a great accomplishment for the business and reflects the collective effort of our team. The process was thorough and required real engagement across the company, which has strengthened both our systems and our awareness of cyber risk.
“With cyber threats continuing to rise, we remain focused on maintaining robust protections and fostering a culture of awareness across the business. This certification not only reinforces our commitment to security, but also enhances the trust our clients place in us.”
The certification is aligned with five core technical controls: firewalls, secure configuration, access control, malware protection and patch management. Recognised by the UK government, it is often a requirement for organisations bidding for regulated contracts and demonstrates a high standard of cybersecurity resilience.
Alongside this achievement, we are ensuring our team completes a Cyber Security Awareness Training programme provided by the National Cyber Security Centre. The training will help to equip our people with the practical knowledge to identify and respond to cyber threats both at work and at home.
