NH Ayrshire and Arran contract win

We’ve been appointed to provide full servicing and maintenance of all commercial and domestic gas appliances across the NHS Ayrshire and Arran estate.

The three-year contract encompasses annual gas safety service, inspection, maintenance and certification carried out on each of the 305 heating/hot water boilers across 39 premises, some of which are specialist or dual fuel installations.

Integral to the contract, we’ll deliver:

  • Physical examination of the condition and safe functioning of appliance, pipework, ventilation and any flue
  • Full service carried out including performance tests, flue gas analysis
  • Gas safety inspection report of findings
  • Gas tightness tests in all areas
  • Any other actions to ensure NHSA&A compliance with the gas safety regulations
  • Any electrical works required within the boiler

All works will be carried out by Gas Safe registered engineer.

We’ll also provide breakdown support to NHS Ayrshire and Arran, supplying only original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts, and ensuring a two-hour response time for both emergency and non-emergency call outs.

We’ve now worked with NHS Ayrshire and Arran for the past four years, having successfully won the contract in 2018, had our contract extended, and now re-tendered for a further three years.

NHS Ayrshire and Arran provides healthcare to almost 400,000 people. More than 9,000 staff works in its hospitals including two University Hospitals in Ayr and Crosshouse near Kilmarnock, Ailsa Hospital in Ayr, Ayrshire Central Hospital in Irvine, and Biggart Hospital in Prestwick.  It also has community hospitals in Arran, Cumbrae, Cumnock, Girvan, Woodland View on the Ayrshire Central Hospital site and community-based staff across various premises throughout Ayrshire and Arran.
