When a burst occurred on the main heating line within the sterile yard at HMP Greenock, a swift and coordinated response was essential to minimise disruption and restore service as quickly as possible.
Working alongside the Scottish Prison Service and Cardwell Group, we mobilised our team to carry out emergency repairs. The project involved lifting concrete slabs to gain access to the damaged section of pipework, replacing the burst section, installing new lagging and reinstating the concrete slabs – all completed within a single day.
This successful outcome was made possible through close collaboration between all parties and the dedication of everyone involved on-site. A great example of planning and technical expertise coming together to deliver a fast and effective solution when it mattered most.
