Returning to Queens Quay

It’s always rewarding to return to a project and continue supporting its long-term success.

Recently, the James Ramsay team returned to the Queens Quay district heating network to support our client, Vital Energi, with the inspection and maintenance of the river extraction filters that supply water from the River Clyde to the water source heat pumps. 🔧

Our role involved providing the crane, safety boat and dive team, before carrying out the full removal and reinstatement of the extraction pipework.

This project is particularly special for our team because we were involved in the original installation, undertaking the fabrication and installation of the pipework that forms a critical part of Scotland’s first river-to-radiator heat network. Returning years later to support its ongoing operation is a great example of the long-term relationships and lifecycle support we provide to our clients.

A fantastic effort from everyone involved in delivering the works safely and efficiently.
