Launched today (14th May 2025), to coincide with our presence at the All-Energy 2025 exhibition in Glasgow, we’re excited to officially unveil our new James Ramsay brand, marking the start of an exciting new chapter in our 100-year history – rooted in heritage but built for the future.
Since 1920, we’ve remained true to what we’ve always done. Our skills, craft and precision are as relevant now as they were then. Our rebrand celebrates this unique story by drawing on the Bauhaus movement, which emerged at the same time as our founding. With a focus on functionality, simplicity and rationality, Bauhaus principles mirror our own – we unite craftsmanship with technical expertise – making complex projects seem simple and ensuring everything we do is robust, efficient and reliable.
Gary Shepherd, Managing Director at James Ramsay said: “I’d like to thank all of our customers and workforce who we have grown with since 1920. We’re passionate about keeping our clients operational without interruption, undertaking complex projects in commercial and industrial sectors with steam, gas and energy systems.
“We’re helping our customers drive performance and sustainability hand-in-hand, whilst reinforcing the values and craftsmanship that have defined James Ramsay since our beginnings. As the energy landscape continues evolving, so do we, by supporting clients with expert engineering, practical solutions, and deep technical knowledge.”
We partnered with the Glasgow-based branding specialist, Tangent, to develop our brand and look forward to rolling it out across the business in due course.
Ian Buchan, Partner at Nevis, said: “This is an exciting milestone for the business, and we look forward to continuing to support Gary and the rest of the team through the next phase of growth and development.”
Always on, since 1920.
