We’re delighted to announce that we have been awarded a major contract by the Scottish Prison Service (SPS) to deliver comprehensive maintenance services for boilers, burners, heating systems, ancillary equipment, and gas infrastructure across the SPS estate.
The contract was awarded following a competitive tendering process.
Under the terms of the agreement, we’ll assume responsibility for preventive and reactive maintenance, servicing, inspection, compliance checks, and associated works to ensure safe, reliable and energy-efficient operation of the heating and gas systems within prisons across Scotland.
This appointment reflects our proven track record in large-scale mechanical and gas services, our rigorous approach to safety, and a commitment to supporting public sector clients with high standards of service delivery and compliance.
Jamie Shepherd, Service Director at James Ramsay, said: “We’re proud to have been selected by the Scottish Prison Service to support the safe and efficient operation of heating, boiler and gas systems across its estate.
“This contract underscores our expertise in delivering mission-critical infrastructure maintenance. We will work closely with SPS to ensure that all systems operate reliably, safely, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements — helping to deliver the best outcomes for staff and custodians.”
We’re looking forward to commencing the contract immediately, mobilising our team, and collaborating with SPS stakeholders to deliver consistent, high-quality service throughout the lifetime of the contract.
Always on!
