We’ve completed a major boiler replacement project at the Princes Food Group site in Govan, Glasgow, and have now commissioned a new, modern steam boiler system to support the site’s soft-drinks manufacturing operation.
The project involved the removal of three existing boilers, which had reached the end of their operational life, then installing a new Cochran ST23 steam boiler. The upgraded system provides a modern and more efficient solution, helping to improve the efficiency and environmental performance of the site’s steam generation as part of the manufacturing process at the Glasgow facility.
Our team also designed and fabricated a new hot well tank, providing a bespoke solution to meet the requirements of the installation.

Working within an old and historic site presented a number of challenges for the team to overcome, with the removal and installation work requiring careful planning and coordination. We provided a specialist lift and shift service to safely remove the three obsolete boilers, associated equipment and flues – working with assistance from Forsyth of Denny and Zenith SAS, and bringing in a telehandler for our own trained staff to drive and support the safe and effective movement of equipment on site.
The project demonstrates the breadth of our capabilities, combining industrial boiler installation with in-house fabrication, mechanical work and complex equipment removal.
