Showcasing education engineering expertise at Education Estates 2026

We joined our sister company Pump Action at Education Estates 2026, held at Manchester Central on 20–21 October, to connect with education estates professionals and showcase the group’s engineering capabilities.

The event brought together more than 5,500 attendees and over 220 exhibitors from across the education infrastructure sector, including those responsible for the funding, design, construction, maintenance and management of schools, colleges and universities.

Our combined teams highlighted how our complementary services can help education providers maintain safe, reliable and efficient facilities.  At James Ramsay, our offering includes planned and reactive maintenance, gas safety inspections, controls and combustion services, boiler hire, HVAC installations, heat pumps and energy efficiency improvements; while Pump Action provides specialist pump and water system services, from planned maintenance and installation to repairs and emergency breakdown support.

The event also provided an opportunity to discuss the challenges facing education estates teams, from maintaining existing buildings and upgrading essential infrastructure to planning refurbishments and exploring lower-carbon heating solutions.

Pump Action’s Ethan Rimmer highlighted the value of bringing the businesses together to showcase their wider engineering capabilities and demonstrate how the group supports education facilities. He said: “By combining our expertise, James Ramsay and Pump Action can provide practical, long-term support for education providers looking to maintain and improve their estates.”

If you’re an estate or facility manager in the education section – we’d love to talk.
